About Us
In 1966, a teenage boy saw a 1965 Cobra in a showroom window in Arlington, VA. The dream of owning that car never left his mind and in 1994, Lee Dahmer, owner of Sterling Replicars, Inc., built a kit car version of the original 1965 Cobra in four months. It helped that he had an engineering background, but it was the passion and excitement of creating the car that he had always wanted.
Sterling Replicars, Inc. was organized in 2005 when Lee and Anne, his wife, created a company that would build kit car/dream cars for a discerning customer. It is a special person that understands the thrill of owning one of the most exciting cars ever built.
Many kits have been built for customers in the last 4 years. Many parts have been fabricated to make the cars operate and handle better. A patented invention was created as well, the Pinless Quick Release Steering Wheel Hub, U.S. Patent 16,971,675 B2. Modifications and performance are always the goal.
There is a lot of expertise, knowledge, experiences to share beyond our front door. We welcome you to our website and hope you will look around inside this virtual shop.
